Build a stronger feedback culture in your workplace
A new way to learn
The training combines cinematic storytelling, interactivity, and reflection.
Engaging and practical
Participants observe situations, make choices, and experience the consequences.
Research-based
Both the learning method and the content are grounded in research.
Put learning into practice
The workplace can continue discussing communication, agree on shared ways of working, and turn learning into everyday practice.
Interaction is learned through observation
The training places participants in realistic workplace situations where their choices shape the direction of the conversation.
Observing these situations also encourages reflection: How do I interpret the situation? How do I react? How does my behaviour affect other people?
This makes interaction visible, easier to recognise, and easier to learn.
When people can talk openly, problems do not stay hidden
Often, the hardest part is not the problem or the mistake itself, but talking about it. Well-delivered feedback makes it easier to solve problems together.
- Small issues are less likely to grow into conflicts.
- Mistakes become opportunities to learn.
- People can focus on their work.
- Trust is maintained, even in challenging situations.

Easy to implement
- 1
Interactive training
The training runs directly in a web browser with no installation required. It works on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Participants move through realistic workplace situations by making choices and seeing how those choices affect communication and the way work gets done. The training takes about one hour to complete and can also be completed in shorter sessions.
- 2
Written guide
Participants also receive the key learning points in a written guide. It helps turn what they have learned into practical everyday skills after completing the training.
- 3
Group discussion
After the training, it is easy to continue the conversation in a workshop or team meeting. Ready-made discussion guides and questions help participants explore topics such as feedback, raising difficult issues, and creating shared ways of working. We can also help you plan and facilitate these discussions.
When is the training useful?
The training is designed for workplaces that want to strengthen collaboration, communication, and feedback skills.
It can be used, for example, for:
- building a strong feedback culture
- supporting organisational change
- onboarding new employees
- staff development days
- hybrid and remote work
- international workplaces
- supporting managers and supervisors
- starting important conversations
- strengthening workplace communication
Successful Feedback Conversation received excellent participant ratings
Pilot versions of the training were tested with around 60 participants from a wide range of professional backgrounds in Finland and Sweden.
The training received an overall rating of 4.5/5 and also worked well in an international context.
Participants reported gaining new insights into feedback conversations, and the situations felt realistic and relevant across different professions.
Participant feedback
Making the wrong choices in the training was a safe way to see situations from new perspectives and learn something new.
The training made me reflect on my own experiences. It made me think about how I usually act in similar situations and how I could improve my own approach.
An engaging and immersive experience that genuinely taught me something new about a topic I already felt confident in.
The scenarios felt authentic and were easy to relate to across many different workplaces.
The idea behind the training
Video is widely used in effective interaction-based interventions. Research shows that people learn interaction skills more effectively when they can observe situations from the outside. Video offers a safe and engaging way to support this process.
The idea for the training originated from the work of psychologist and psychotherapist Silja Salmi. She wanted to bring a learning method proven effective in clinical psychology into workplace interaction training.
That idea became the starting point for Successful Feedback Conversation.
“When a workplace situation feels real, it becomes easier to relate to it and reflect on your own behaviour from a safe distance.”
